Hello there! My name is Megan Freeman and I am a special education teacher at Lower Macungie Middle School in the East Penn School District. Prior to working in the EPSD I was employed as a middle school learning/emotional support teacher in the Saucon Valley School District and as a high school emotional support teacher at Centennial School of Lehigh University.
In April 2021, the Freeman family grew by one. We welcomed our precious baby boy Wesley into the world. He and Harper (the coonhound) are our everything. I have my bachelor's degree in Special Education PK-12 and Elementary Education K-6 from Kutztown University and my master's degree in Special Education from Lehigh University. Currently, I am working on my second master's degree in Educational Leadership to obtain my special education supervisor credentials at Lehigh University. As a special education teacher at Lower Macungie Middle School, I am a special education service provider who assists students with social-emotional and academic learning needs. In co-taught classes, special education teachers [such as myself] will be interacting with all students. Therefore, even if you child does not require my supports or services, I may still be interfacing with them and offering support. This does not necessarily indicate that your child is struggling in their academic classes. All students are welcome to seek me out for support in all subject areas regardless of need. Lower Macungie Middle School and the East Penn School District promote a team approach to teaching and learning. We are all here to support your children. We are #EASTPENNPROUD Sincerely, Megan Freeman |
